PerfectPitch Winner – SXSW 2018 – Wins $400K from Marc Benioff & Ashton Kutcher’s SOUND
Saturday, March 10 at SXSW, Sound Ventures held their first $100,000 pitch competition for early-stage entrepreneurs, PerfectPitch.
The winner ended up walking away with $400k for her LearnLux, an educational platform with online tools for financial literacy.
Sound Ventures, a venture capital firm founded by Ashton Kutcher and Guy Oseary, held PerfectPitch, the firm’s $100,000 pitch competition for early-stage entrepreneurs at SXSW on Saturday afternoon, March 10 at Hotel Van Zandt in Austin.
The original prize was $100k, but Ashton Kutcher doubled it to $200k. And then Mark Benioff , CEO Salesforce said he’d invest an additional $200k. So LearnLux won $400k.

- IssueVoter: Wikipedia for legislation; users select the issues they care most about and IssueVoter will send them brief summaries of relevant legislation going through Congress. Founder: Maria Yuan
- Omnivirt: AR/VR advertising platform for brands and publishers. Founder: Michael Rucker
